About me:
Watercolour has been my passion for over 30 years. I am drawn to its fluidity, vibrancy, and the way it captures light in a way no other medium can. My work is often inspired by nature, from sweeping landscapes to the delicate intricacies of flowers, reflecting my deep appreciation for the beauty that surrounds us.
I specialise in large-format watercolour paintings, creating works that are expressive, bold, and immersive. I sell my art from my studio in Portarlington, as well as through galleries and exhibitions. As a dedicated teacher, I offer lessons and immersive three-day retreats, sharing my love of the medium with artists at all levels.
One of my recent works, a watercolour cyclamen, embodies my fascination with the interplay of colour, form, and light. The delicate petals and twisting stems provided the perfect subject to explore transparency and movement in watercolour. This piece celebrates both the fragility and resilience of nature, inviting the viewer to appreciate its quiet strength.
Through my art, I aim to evoke emotion, curiosity, and connection—whether painting in plein air or refining details in my studio. Each piece is a journey, and I invite others to join me in discovering the magic of watercolour.
I am a member of The Watercolour Society of Victoria, Women in Watercolor, The Women’s Art Register, The Victorian Artist Society and The Bellarine Peninsula Arts Association.
